Meet Our Team Dentists in Overland Park

Jackie is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing since 2013. She graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Johnson County Community College in 2013 and went on to further her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2015. Jackie’s favorite part about being a dental hygienist is building relationships with patients and making them feel comfortable at the dentist office. In her spare time, Jackie, along with her husband, likes to play volleyball, travel, and spend time with their dog, Izzy.

Christy is a Dental Assistant and has been practicing at BlueStem Dental since July 2015. Her favorite part about being a dental assistant is being able to help patients feel comfortable and feel at ease during their dental appointments. In her spare time, Christy enjoys DIY projects, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Kiersten is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing at BlueStem Dental since July 2017. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2017 receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Kiersten’s favorite part about being a dental hygienist is creating relationships with her patients and teaching them about their oral care. In her spare time, Kiersten enjoys hanging out with her husband, Chad and running with her dog, Jet.

Jenna is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing since 2015. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2015 receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Jenna’s favorite part about being a dental hygienist is building relationships with her patients and making them feel comfortable in their dental home. In her spare time, Jenna enjoys playing with her hound dog, Boone, going camping on the weekends, and spending time with her husband and their families.

Shannon is the Insurance Coordinator and has been at BlueStem Dental since August 2015. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2002 receiving a Bachelor of Sociology Degree with a concentration in Criminology. Her favorite part about being the Insurance Coordinator is getting to know all the amazing patients that come into the office. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.

Joan is our Insurance Coordinator and started at BlueStem Dental in 2005. After a brief "retirement" she came back in 2021. Joan graduated from Benedictine College with a degree in English. Her favorite part about being an Insurance Coordinator is reconnecting with so many patients and helping them understand their dental benefits. Outside of work, Joan loves to spend time with friends and family, take walks, and challenge herself with new adventures.

Savannah is a Dental Assistant and has been practicing at BlueStem Dental since June 2019. Her favorite part about being a dental assistant is creating relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable in the office. In her spare time, Savannah loves cooking, exercising, and spending time with her friends and boyfriend, Hank.

Courtney is the Treatment Coordinator and has been treatment planning and working with dental insurance since 2013. Originally from Texas, but has made Kansas City her home since 2013. She graduated in 2015 from Park University with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management. Courtney’s favorite part about being a Treatment Coordinator is being able to help patients understand their dental insurance and helping them through their dental treatment journey. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, and DIY projects around the house; with the help of her dog, Smooch, of course.

Carly is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing at BlueStem Dental since June 2021. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Before Carly was a dental hygienist, she went to the University of Central Missouri where she got her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Studies with a minor in Psychology. During her time at the University of Central Missouri, she was a member of the women’s volleyball team. Carly’s favorite part about being a dental hygienist is getting to know her patients and being able to help them improve their oral health! In her spare time, Carly loves to spend time with family and friends, play volleyball, read, and go to Chiefs games!
